Glade Mill is located in rural western Pennsylvania, about an hour north of Pittsburgh. We are a small time breeder, having litters only very occasionally. We hope to continue to improve our breeds by striving to produce puppies that exemplify their breed standards. Although our pups are bred to excel in conformation and field work, they are first and foremost excellent companions. Canines were always a part of our lives, but after the passing of our late Labrador, we decided that it was time to get another hunting companion, but we were also looking for a change. In 2001, after much research and debating, we decided upon the Vizsla as the perfect addition to our household. We brought that first bundle of wrinkles home in August of that year, but it wasn't long before we began to look for another to add to the family. In the summer of 2002 we acquired our second, and from there began to participate in conformation events as well. It was then that we became addicted to showing. In 2004 we were at a show when Laura ran into William Guappone, looking to place a young beagle bitch in a home that promised to show her to her championship. Laura had grown up with beagles as a child and the youngest, Chanel, had been begging to get a beagle for a couple years. In what initially started out as "a beagle", we have made way for "a few beagles", as the merry little hounds have worked their way into our hearts. Our involvement with our dogs over the years has allowed us to make many close friends and aquaintances who have helped us to learn so much. We are forever thankful for everyone who has given us their time, knowledge and resources in helping us to get to where we are today.
